Van Baasbank & Baggerman was founded in 1985 by Jaap van Baasbank and JG Baggerman and is based in Amsterdam. The aim of the company is producing and promoting multidisciplinary performing arts.

Our core activities are: the contemporary dance festival Julidans which is held every year in the month of July, percussion and throughout the theatrical season (from September until June) Van Baasbank & Baggerman organises tours with foreign companies in venues in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. These venues have a capacity between 600 and 1200 seats.

Over the years a great variety of companies have toured with Van Baasbank & Baggerman. Most performances have in common that there is no language barrier and the artistic concept is innovative. This can be contemporary dance, (music)-theatre, movement theatre and percussion. Performances range from a one man show to an opera with 50 people (and a horse) on stage.
